The golden brown protective film formed by the solution when air-dried delineates the treated area and provides protection from contamination. It is virtually non-irritating to skin, wounds or mucous membranes. It is virtually non-staining to skin or natural fabrics. Terminally sterilized as the final step in production, both the solution and the applicator are sterile assuring a contamination free product.
