Respiratory Therapy involves assessing and treating a variety of conditions related to breathing and the lungs. These may be temporary like pneumonia, bronchitis and other infections, or they may be ongoing, like emphysema, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD). A variety of masks and other respiratory therapy supplies can help manage these conditions.

CPAP Masks: Continuous Positive Airway Pressure therapy delivers a constant flow of steady air pressure to help alleviate obstructive sleep apnea. Options include nasal, oral and full-face masks that are latex free with petite sizes available.

Nebulizer Masks: Nebulizers transform liquid medicine into a fine mist that a person breathes in through a face mask. This kind of aerosol therapy is often prescribed to treat asthma, cystic fibrosis, COPD and other bronchial problems.

Oxygen Masks: Oxygen therapy is a method of providing supplemental oxygen to people who cannot get or absorb enough by breathing on their own. Options for masks that connect to an oxygen source include elongated styles that cover the chin, masks with adjustable nose clips, sizes for adults and children, disposable oxygen masks and those with adjustments for oxygen concentration.

Respirator Masks: Respirator masks are designed for health care professionals, these protective masks are designed to fit very closely over the mouth and nose to protect against very small particulate matter, like body fluids, viruses and other pathogens. Respiratory masks, like the 3m 1860 N95, must form a seal around the airways to work properly, and there are test agents available to assess proper fit.

Surgical and Procedure Masks: Surgical masks are designed to cover the mouth and nose as a physical barrier against contaminants. They are generally disposable, soft and fairly loose-fitting.

Trach Masks: A tracheostomy bypasses the mouth and nose to deliver air to the lungs through a surgical hole in the windpipe. Trach masks can connect to an oxygen tank or aerosol nebulizer to help the wearer breathe and keep the airways moistened. Options include adult and pediatric sizes, swivel tubes for right or left side access and disposable styles. Caregivers for tracheostomy patients may also need open suction catheter kits and other supplies.
